Turkish Folk Songs with guest artist: Sertab Erener

A virtuoso pianist and composer, Faz¶l Say has devised a very special opening event for »Şimdi Now« which will also feature soprano and pop diva Sertab Erener, a versatile artist making the best of her classical training. At this concert Say will perform Busoni’s take on Bach’s Chaconne followed by his special four-hand project featuring Stravinsky’s Rite of Spring and his acclaimed composition Silk Road. Erener’s brilliant voice will echo in the finale, comprising Turkish folk songs which embrace Turkish roots and extend to a wider cosmopolitan culture also revealing Erener’s great love of jazz.
