»Şimdi Now« is an expedition through space and time: from classical to popular music, world music to new music, traditional to contemporary art and from Turkey’s rich past to its dynamic, modern present.

Şimdi Now presents around 50 productions at 20 venues in Berlin in nine days, including concerts, exhibitions, theatre and dance performances, comedy shows, readings and films.

From 27 August to 4 September, Berlin will experience the full spectrum of one of Europe’s most dynamic and varied music and culture scenes. The festival’s range reflects a creative force capable of combining its own traditions with innovation in a humorous and playful way. The distinguishing element of Turkish culture has always been the lively and fruitful interaction between western and eastern cultures.
